So take this story as a word of warning on relying solely on pepper spray for self-defense.\u201d<\/em>\n\nThis story made me realize that people need to understand the proper use of pepper spray in self defense.\n\nThe story is intended to convince some people that pepper spray is not a good self defense tool.\n\nThis is misleading and wrong. <\/strong>\n\nLet\u2019s break this story down. We need to find out who was using the pepper spray and with what goal in mind.\n

Here is a brief explanation of how pepper spray is supposed to be used.\n\nPepper spray<\/span><\/a> <\/span><\/strong>is meant to be used as a distraction technique<\/strong><\/span><\/a><\/span> not for subduing an assailant.\n\nThat means you either:\n
