Happy Veteran’s Day

Happy Veteran's Day: American Flag

Happy Veteran’s Day everybody! I hope you have fun plans for the long weekend. But before you go out and do whatever it is you have planned take a moment to reflect on what this holiday represents.

Chances are each and every one of you knows a veteran. Take a moment this morning and send them your thanks. It only takes a moment and I know it will mean a lot to those you thank.

It is easy to take all our freedoms and rights and opportunities for granted, especially if you have lived in the U.S. your entire life. We are so used to all these rights we easily forget that there are billions of people living today who don’t have those freedoms and rights.

And we didn’t come by these rights easily. It wasn’t luck or chance that gave us freedom. It took the blood of brave men and women to ensure that we can enjoy the rights many of us have come to take for granted.

According to Wikipedia 1,343,812 soldiers have died in all the wars and other deployments in our countries short history.

That is a startling number and a huge sacrifice for our freedom for which we should all be thankful.

It’s hard to put into words the gratitude I feel for our soldiers which is why this post is a little short.

The only thing any of us can really do to thank the veterans of this country is extend a heartfelt thank you and support those who are in need.

I hope you all have a great weekend. God Bless all the brave men and women who have served this country and God bless the USA.
