Put Attackers on the Ground With This Quick Throw
An Exception To The Rule
I don’t normally recommend using throws for self-defense. They can be effective, but most throws require way too much practice and skill and should be reserved for Hollywood or showing off in the dojo. The throw shown here is an exception. It’s easy to learn, it’s not showy, and can be learned in a very short amount of time.
World's Fastest Drawing Knife.
You wanna try out the fastest drawing knife on the planet? Good. Because here's your chance to get it for FREE.
It even comes with a video showing you exactly how to draw this folder from your pocket (one-handed) so that it snaps open and is ready for action in the blink of an eye. (Your buddies are going to be sooo freaked out when they see this).
Breaking It Down

An advantage of this move is that it never requires you lifting your attacker off the ground, yet it creates a large fall which can cause a lot of damage. Instead of lifting, you are simply rotating your attacker around his waist.
This self defense move is great even if you are smaller than your opponent. The key is getting in close (where most fighters don’t know what to do). Getting in close takes away most of your attacker’s tools, since most fighters rely on punches and kicks that are ineffective when you are in close.
Push and Pull Simultaneously
As Christophe explains in the video the secret to getting this throw to work is pushing and pulling at the same time. If you just pull or just push it won’t work. When you push and pull at the same time you are forcing your attackers center of gravity to move way behind his feet, falling is the only possible result when this happens.
No matter how big or strong he is he can’t defy the laws of physics. If you push your attackers body weight behind his heels he is going down.
The basics of this move are simple. Close the distance (a finger flick to the eyes is a great way to distract him and get his hands up setting up the baggage toss). Once you are in close you have to do two things at the same time:
- First, drop down low enough to get your arm between his legs reaching your hand up to the small of his back and pull while standing up.
- Second you thrust your forearm into into his throat or chest (either one works it really depends on how tall you are) pushing his upper torso backwards.
When you do both of these things together you can put a much larger attacker on the ground.

I just ordered Christopher’s DVD package through yesterday’s e-mail but it didn’t mention a Gold Edition or some of the things mentioned in today’s e-mail. I have been a good customer and have referred others. I hope my package comes with the materials mentioned today. I just finished the 15 Brutal Fight Enders. It was great. Please do what you can for me. Thanks. Mike Millard
Simple, easy and effective.
Thank you.
THANK YOU BOB,
I’M ALMOST 76 YEARS OLD AND IF I NEED SELF PROTECTION – IT HAS TO BE EASY, QUICK AND EFFECTIVE – I WOULDN’T LAST LONG IN A REAL KNOCK DOWN – GRAG OUT FIGHT ANYMORE~~~!
THANK YOU FOR YOUR VIDEOS~~~!

I think this guy cvhris clugston teaches real self defense for the avg person.im not proud of this but a friend was going away to state prison for 9 yrs And I can tell he was nervous about it .which kinda surprised me because he is a powerful guy who can be aggressive at times.anyway because of his race he was out numbered up state ny . some how he got hold of cluggstons comrac boc tapes and we practiced them fairly often .he told me in prison they helped him out of some physical altercations .I think with some dedication and some physical pratice that guy clugston stuff can work of course i realize it not magic but it might help . I hope i dont look like a bad guy pointing out where that stuff did work but hope that clugston material can help some elese out of a bad situation
I love the red bush on the dudes head
Looks good, and simple. Is there anything, other than surprise, that prevents the opponent from kicking thrower in the balls as he’s going down?
This move is great I trashed a guy that tried to hurt me.thanks love yall
Thank you, Ms. Clugston for another great defense tip for women and men. Every tip goes into the tool belt for later use. Am sending to young teens and young adult women. We have to change the timidity of women and make them mean as snakes in order to protect themselves against the evil in the world. Thanks again,
Sunny
My wife said she likes this move. She is only 5″2. And she won’t have to bend down very far.
BOB, As always, thanks for your generosity for these beneficial freebees.
That is a Cool move! I’ve been doing that move to pick up my wife on a Tango And Bogie Twist dance! By swinging her around …
Another good tool for the toolbox thanks to Christophe Clugston and Bob Pierce.
GOOD STUFF!! I”M A NEW GUY ON YOUR WEB-SITE,73YRS OLD W/EMPHYSEMA AND CHRONIC BRONCITIS. SO I HAVE TO BE QUICK AND PROBABLY MERCILESS.

JOE BRUNO (OF CROSS CREEK,FLA)
Nice move!
Thanks. This is great. I need to show this one to my 27 year old, 100 pound 5ft2 daughter. She needs some defense moves.
Now that I think of it, How did man survive before you came along, you’re the best instructor in the business, keep up the great life saving things you pass along to us: the students in survival. Tom
Good to know. And simple to use….
anks..
I watched this video. It was very informing.I learned something new today. An short so ill have no trouble going inbetween the legs. Thanks so much.
Thanks again as usual you guys are the best hands down I really learned a lot from these video blogs what can I say but I owe you guys big time yours truly joe Liguori
Good movement, but it needs a lots of practice.
That’s gotta hurt when the attacker lands on a hard surface like the floor, concrete, gravel or even the ground. I’ll remember this one.
First class move
AWESOME, I’m only 5 foot tall and I don’t know how effective that would be with a big guy but I still think that this is something that I need to keep in my repertoire?
This move is like dejavu for me. I am coming up on my 59th birthday and was a championship wrestler from the 6th grade thru my sophomore year of highschool.
I grew up on a farm where I was subjected to a life of total brutality by a big, mean, and drunken father. However, this life made me a cockstrong and brutal young man.
To the point, the wrestling team was my only escape from the farm and I was very good at formulating some very unorthodox moves that were extremely effective….this move was one of them. The powers that be tried to make some of my move illegal but my coaches were VERY defensive on my behalf.
Thanks for bringing back some memories.
J. Johnson.
am a crossfit coach and the shorter person has more leverage over a tall one . short is not a disadvantage but an advantage
Christophe, pretty sure this would be an unexpected move…I love giving surprises! Thank You Brother!!!
Great video — simple move but easy to use. Devastating if he lands on his head ! Thanks Bob–
Bob, Awesome move!!! It is true, if done right it is hard to practice this move without hurting your training partner!!! This takes very little strength when done properly, your attacker will probably land on his head!!
Lights out!!
Incredibly affective maneuver. Thank you for the demonstration.
Inadvertantly when I was 16, I exactly did this to what I will call the mouth of the group of prospective assailants that had surrounded me at a community basketball court. I couldn’t believe I got away from them. The ‘mouth’ was trying to provoke me by giving me a shove from the front and I quite literally redirected that momentum into a spin where I swung back around towards him onto one of my knees with me actually missing the shot I was going to give to his groin and grabbed the back of his pants in a downward direction as I stood up taking my other hand as a fist directed towards his chin only to hit his upper chest. He went down backwards falling like a ton of bricks giving me the opportunity to literally go over the top of him exiting the circle of punks and take off running. I was fortunate that none of them were fast enough to catch me helping confirm to me that surprise and speed often win the war. Offered for your consideration, by Stormy
A variation is just grab a handful of the opponents crotch and push pull. Be sre ax ND put the iron grip on it. Even if you just get pants in your grip the throw still works. If you get the jewrls, well all the better.
Good move but isn’t a leg sweep easier?
I really like the simplicity of this move and the bits of humor in the presentation.
Great move! I have all of Clugston’s videos that I purchased through TRS.
Isn’t this the same move that Kathy Long displayed on one of her videos? Good move, but I’ve seen this one before.
Ouch that has got to hurt good defence move.
Watching learning
Great move
Really good advice simple easy to use
Love your videos
thank you for these tips perhaps some day we will need these and ill be twice as thankful to you
thanks again
DON
looks good
I learned the same move but stepping between the legs standing and lifting openent slightly off the ground and pushing at the same time. A slight lift is all that is needed.
I notice here he steps to the side. Probably just as effective.
I have used this move twice when big guys tried to stand close and intimidate me. I Recomend leaving quickly in the opposite direction.
Very intelligent, yet simple. Like this! Dawn
This is a simple but yet very effective way to put anyone down. If you really want to hurt them you can follow them to the ground and drive your forearm into their neck as they hit the ground. Only do this to someone when your intent is to inflict maximum damage. They very well might not survive!
Just great. Thanks again. My arsenal is still growing and getting easier. I have my black belt in Kung Fu/ Kickboxing. I have started to change a lot of what I know and making things simpler. Thanks so much for all the eye opening tips. They go a lot farther than you may think.
Brilliant easy simple effective move.
Brilliant easy simple effective move, which is unexpected by attacker. Thanks.
Effective and quick!
Cool move
